The House

by Cheryl on May 9, 2011

Benjamin and a few of our brothers and sisters here worked hard to clean up a little two bedroom house that was offered to us to stay in. The Lord continues to amaze us with His provision for large needs and small! We stayed with dear friends for a week as things were prepared and appliances, switch plates, and other details put in. We’ve been here now for three days, and are starting to settle in. I wanted to post this a few days ago, but it’s taken some time to uncover the camera amidst all the cardboard boxes. : / Here are some photos:

This Texas girl never knew she loved the mountains! The wind in this area is truely impressive… very strong and very often blowing. The mornings have been cool and mild and we’ve been enjoying having the doors and windows open.

Since Hannah has a “new room” we decided to transition her into a new bed. She has successfully slept in her “big girl bed” (toddler-sized) now for two naps and one night! She is starting to put words together and repeating almost everything. It’s incredible how quickly she’s developing. I almost feel like I have a little person to keep me company now instead of just two babies.

Something neat is that Benjamin spent his childhood in a house in The Bay Area of California on a street with almost the same name as our street now! We know by the peace in our hearts and by the signs all around us and in our every day details of provision and interaction that we are in the center of The Father’s will for us now. Ben has had two positive interview experiences already and we expect to hear news of his employment tomorrow. (Tuesday).

Your comments and texts have been such an encouragement to my heart. Thank you for your love and prayers!
