The Seen and the Unseen

by Cheryl on October 28, 2012

I’m so grateful for the way The LORD has given this blog to me again. His timing and His ways are so perfect! It’s been such a tool for me to praise Him as He opens my eyes to the beauty and blessing all around me every day. It’s easy for me to focus on (praying with Him about) future things- concerns, requests- and be robbed of the awareness of what is right in front of me at the moment. An added benefit is the fact that you all get to see snippets of our days as well. Win, WIN! Hallelujah!

Got my chicken stock into jars today! Love that sense of accomplishment after kitchen processes that span a day or two...

Even as He is opening my eyes to these earthly bits of joy, He reminds me: “… Inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4) I’m amazed at the depth of this truth. As I’m learning to abide in Him, everything fits together in a perfect pretzel! What He causes me to see makes my spirit to rejoice in His goodness! As I praise Him, the unseen reality of His Kingdom overtakes me. And as I continue to walk in His Spirit and freeing presence, I naturally walk out His Kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven. What a wonderful and mysterious life we are called to! Dwelling above and walking below. With our hands to do the will of Him who sends us each circumstance we encounter, and our spirits to be renewed in Him in the heavenly realms day by day. Bless The LORD.
